safety in water. The records show that the member of
service users in 1999 was 8,200 persons. |

Other
than the food service for sanitation, nutrition and
saving, the canteen is also modernly designed with pleasant
atmosphere reflecting the Institute’s former potential
in home economy in combination with the new potential
in urbanized higher education administration which is
ISO 9002 certified in cooking for students. |

The
first project has begun since 1992. There are accommodation
rooms, conference rooms, catering and tailoring “Dusita”
which have been successively reliable from outsiders
so far. The services are over demand then the under
construction Hotel Suan Dusit Palace 2 is now supplemented.
The services of the Hotel are equivalent to those of
5-star hotels under the slogan “ the Service with Quality
for Customer’s Satisfaction”. With all perfect preparation,
the Hotel Suan Dusit Palace was ISO 9002 certified from
SGS Company on January 18, 2000 for its quality system
management. This is an encouragement to further quality
development of service in the future. |

This
project supports the quality and standardized establishment
of documents and textbooks with complete performance,
from the production till the systematic distribution.
Every procedure is rapidly preceded and helps every
teaching & learning system running efficiently. |

It
is the service in all kinds of printing design regarding
education and public relation purposes. This affects
the development of printing format of the Institute
by which is broadly interesting and accepted so far. |

is the production of bottled drinking water that is
qualified by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the
Ministry of Public Health (permit no. Or-Yor 22/39). |

It
is the service for development of personality and increase
of physical capability with modern equipment under advice
of trainers. There are special programs on aerobic dance
and sauna bath for instructors, students and general
people as well. |

It
is the service in food preparation with quality and
reasonable price for officials and staff of the Revenue
Department. |

It
is the project provided for the complete study in home
economy. Other than the place for occupational practice
of home economy students, it is also training and servicing
center in tailoring for all. |

The
food and home bakery project has begun since May 29,
1985 with the budget only 1,692.25 baht. It is the service
in baking for Institute’s personnel, students and general
people. The project has been operated for 15 years and
lots of development was made so far. In 1995, it was
accepted by the society as an international standardized
food and baking center. The number of daily service
users of the food section is around 3,500-4,000 and
that of the shop front around 8,000-12,000.
At present, the food and bakery service project produces
about 200 kinds of bakes and about 70 kinds of snacks,
all are well packed in good-looking packages. All foods
and bakes are tasty, fresh, clean and preservative free.
So they are popular to government and private sectors,
retailers and general people. This is a good chance
for students and teachers on sales promotion for catering,
retail sales and consumption. |

The
present world is moving into the information age that
makes everyone need data, information, knowledge etec.
For judgement in living; especially in such an enormous
information world or the so-called “Information Explosion”
that does not enable us to consume all kinds of information.
From the said situation, the Information Science was
then founded in order to practice students in systematic
management of data, information and knowledge. Once
who are trained in this subject is called “information
scientists” who will ingeniously help general people
to access information and knowledge. |

Suan Dusit Poll is a working unit that has its outcome
about 4-5 topics a month by average altogether up till
now there were 670 topics for government and private
sectors. Every work piece of Suan Dusit Poll is disseminated
to all branches of mass media, especially printing offices
and press centers around the world. Its information
is accepted as database references applied for decision
making, planning and operations. It is recommended by
government and private sectors, e.g., the Royal Thai
Army, the Health Department, the Ministry of Transport
and Communications regarding traffic problems as well
as the standardization of entertainment in weekly song
ranking radio program “Smart Chart” on FM 98 MHz. The
Thai song ranking is, however, accepted by the NHK Radio
of Japan accordingly. By vote of mass media in all branches,
Suan Dusit Poll was honored as the Poll of the Year
1999. This is a proof of its rightness, accuracy and
neutrality of Suan Dusit Poll from the past to the present. |
