On 19-20 August, Confucius Institute of Suan Dusit University at Suphanburi (CISDUS) hosted an online exhibition on Chinese-Thai food cultures exchanging achievement, including a culinary art contest, a cultural forum, a fruit carving art exhibition and other related activities. Vice President of Suan Dusit University, Dr. Waranee Vessoontorntep was present in the whole 2-day event, more than 100 people logged in the ZOOM meeting App to enter the cultural forum, and about 500 people watched the Facebook live broadcasting of the culinary art contest and other activities, all of which have got quite satisfactory feedbacks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 9:00 am, 19 August, the culinary art contest officially began. 10 final contestants divided into two groups stepped into the culinary lab of the cooks training school of Suan Dusit University\u2019s Suphanburi campus respectively in the morning and afternoon. A little while later, the lab was filled with food flavor. After an exciting competition, the winners, i.e. 1 of the 1st<\/sup> prize, 3 of the 2nd<\/sup> and 6 of the third, were openly announced, successfully closing the contest at 5:00 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While at 9:00 am, 20 August, the forum on Chinese-Thai food cultures exchanging was pulled up the curtain. The Chinese director of CISDUS, Mr. Qiu Zongfeng, delivered a lecture entitled as \u201cBrief Introduction to Eight Chinese Food Series,\u201d the core teachers of the culinary art school of Suan Dusit University shared their comparison and analysis on Chinese and Thai food cultures, and then all the guests on the forum ardently discussed issues of the comparison between and the development of both Chinese and Thai food cultures. They all agreed that the prospect of Chinese-Thai food cultures exchanging would be greatly promising and expected that more good achievements would constantly appear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, at 5:00 pm, 20 August, the 2-day exhibition closed as a success. All the attendees through various platforms repeatedly expressed their opinions that such online exhibitions were creative and effective, having been a good example for the development of Chinese-Thai cultures exchanging in the post-pandemic era. In addition, they hoped that similar activities could be made for the public so as to continue promoting a creative development of Chinese-Thai cultures exchanging.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
