Suan Dusit University Hosts Merit-Making Ceremony to Inaugurate the New Year 2026

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pitauk Chanchareon, President of Suan Dusit University, presided over a traditional merit-making ceremony on January 7, 2026, to celebrate the New Year. The event brought together university executives, faculty members, staff, university students, and pupils from La-orutis Demonstration School to participate in auspicious rituals aimed at fostering prosperity for the campus community.

The morning’s proceedings began with a sacred tribute to Luang Pu Chai Mongkol, the university’s revered spiritual guardian. This was followed by the offering of a morning meal (breakfast) to the Buddhist monks. The ceremony culminated in a traditional alms-giving session, where the SDU community joined in harmony to offer food to the monks at the Raktakanit Auditorium (2nd Floor), Suan Dusit University.

This annual tradition served not only as a spiritual commencement for the year 2026 but also as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the bonds between all members of the university and its laboratory school.
