The Research Committee of Suan Dusit University, Trang Education Center, conducted a field study on bamboo cultivation, bamboo pickling, cocoa farming, cocoa beverages, and the development of cocoa into chocolate bars in Nong Chang Lan Subdistrict, Huai Yot District, Trang Province. 

On February 11, 2026, the research committee visited the area to collect fundamental data in support of a proposal submission to the Office of Community Innovation. The initiative is part of the Integrated Knowledge Project for Community Innovation Development and Academic Business Value Creation for the fiscal year 2026. 

The project aims to strengthen local communities by enhancing income and improving the quality of life for members of bamboo-based community enterprises, enabling them to achieve sustainable self-reliance. 

The study was led by Dr. Nuanrat Wattana, along with a team of faculty members from the research committee.
