SDU Trang Staff Win Regional Championship and Showcase “Trang Heritage” Drink for Miss Thailand 2026 Contestants

Personnel from Suan Dusit University, Trang Education Center, led by Mr. Wisarut Prakobkit, the Southern Regional Champion of the Makro Thailand Creative Drink Challenge 2025, together with students from the Culinary Technology and Service Program, were honored to provide beverage services for contestants of the Miss Thailand 2026.

The occasion took place during the contestants’ courtesy visit to the Governor of Trang Province and their activity camp in the province. For this special event, the team created a signature beverage titled “Trang Heritage”, inspired by the province’s rich multicultural identity.

The drink concept reflects the harmonious coexistence of three cultural groups in Trang:

               •              THE TOP — The Chinese Legacy: Osmanthus flower foam and Palian pepper, representing Thai-Chinese heritage

               •              THE BASE — The Buddhist & Muslim Wisdom: Roselle and fresh herbs, symbolizing Thai Buddhist communities

               •              THE SOLUTION — The Unity Connection: Seaweed and sea salt, blending flavors—spicy, sour, sweet, and salty—into a unified taste, reflecting the interconnected way of life in Trang

The project also emphasized quality control, aesthetic presentation, nutritional value, and professional service standards. Students actively participated in beverage preparation and service under expert supervision, demonstrating strong practical skills, professionalism, and teamwork.

This activity provided valuable hands-on experience, boosting students’ confidence while enhancing the university’s reputation. It also highlighted the capability of the Culinary Technology and Service Program in producing high-quality graduates ready for the food and hospitality industry.

The event was held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Trang Provincial Hall, Trang Province.
