Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi Campus, Organizes “Chinese New Year Festival: Exquisite Costumes, Cuisine, and Handicrafts – 50 Years of Thai–Chinese Friendship”
Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi Campus, organized the project “Chinese New Year Festival: Exquisite Costumes, Cuisine, and Handicrafts – 50 Years of Thai–Chinese Friendship,” led by the Confucius Institute at Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi, in collaboration with the Bachelor of Arts Program in Home Economics, School of Culinary Arts, Suphanburi Campus. The event was held to honor Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, recognized as the “Mother of Thai Silk,” and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mrs. Wei Yubing and Dr. Phantarak Phukpun. The event featured Active Learning activities for more than 200 teachers and students through four Chinese cultural learning stations: tanghulu making, Chinese tea art, Chinese fan dyeing, and recreational games. In addition, there was a demonstration of Thai–Chinese culinary arts by Suan Dusit, showcasing auspicious dishes such as golden bags, dim sum, and herbal drinks.
The event reflected the power of Soft Power in connecting the arts, culture, and ways of life of Thailand and China harmoniously. It also promoted creative learning and hands-on experiences for participants. The event was held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the main auditorium, Suan Dusit University, Suphanburi Campus.
