Suan Dusit University, Suphan Buri Campus Holds Knowledge Transfer Activity on Suphan Buri Hom Mali Rice
Suan Dusit University, Suphan Buri Campus, held a knowledge transfer activity on the conservation and use of Suphan Buri Hom Mali rice. The activity also included rice planting by staff and students in local paddy fields in Suphan Buri Province.
The activity was led by Dr. Waranee Wetsunthorn, Vice President for Suphan Buri Campus, as part of the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn (RSPG–SDU) for fiscal year 2026. It was also part of a wellness promotion project focusing on the sustainable conservation and use of Suphan Buri Hom Mali rice.
The activity aimed to share knowledge on rice conservation and cultivation practices. Staff and students from Suphan Buri Campus joined the rice planting activity at Kamnan Sawang Upan’s farm, Phai Khwang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province, on Monday, March 2, 2026, and at Kamnan Sumet Chimphat’s farm, Sanam Khli Subdistrict, Mueang District, Suphan Buri Province, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
