The Research and Development Institute, Suan Dusit University, held a seminar titled “From Concept Fund to Funding: Techniques for Turning Concept Proposals into Research Grants.”

Assoc.Prof. Dr.Chanasuek Nichanong, Vice President for Management, Research and Innovation, welcomed participants and opened the seminar.

Asst.Prof. Jitwimon Klaysubun, Director of the Research and Development Institute, explained the purpose of the seminar before the discussion began.

The invited speakers were Ajarn Sunanta Sompong, adviser to the National Research Council of Thailand; Ms. Kunrawa Chotipansophon, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Research Development Agency; and Prof. Dr. Therdchai Chuaybamroong, a member of Suan Dusit University’s subcommittee for budget preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of Fundamental Fund projects.

Instead of focusing only on theory, the speakers explained what a strong proposal should make clear: why the project matters, what budget is needed, what work will be done, and what results can be used after the project.

Asst.Prof. Dr. Pimmada Wichasilp, Dean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, worked as the moderator for this session.

The activity ran on June 29, 2026, at the Multi Purpose Space on the 1st floor of the OWL Building, Suan Dusit University.
