SDU Signs MOU with Four Partners for Home Economics Learning Center
On July 1, 2026, the School of Culinary Arts at Suan Dusit University worked with four partner organizations on home economics learning innovation. The MOU also laid the groundwork for a lifelong learning center in home economics.
The MOU included four outside partners. They were the provincial police in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand’s Home Economics Association under Royal Patronage, Suan Dusit’s Home Economics Alumni Association under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, and Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University.
The MOU links home economics knowledge with community product development and local economic work. One key part of the cooperation is the plan to establish a lifelong learning center in home economics.
The ceremony took place in the 5th Floor Meeting Room, University Office Building, Suan Dusit University.
Asst.Prof. Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Thanapat Saengrungrueang, Dean of the School of Culinary Arts, reported on the purpose of the MOU.
Asst.Prof. Dr.Pornchanit Kaew-nate, Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Affairs, welcomed the guests.
Representatives from the partner organizations also expressed their support for the cooperation. They included Police Major General Surawut Saengrungrueang, Commander of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Police; Ms. Piyathida Sihawattanakul, President of the Home Economics Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage; Assoc.Prof.Pacharee Suankaew, President of the Suan Dusit Home Economics Alumni Association under Royal Patronage; and Asst.Prof. Dr. Sukrak Saejia, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, as representative of the university president.
The MOU was signed by Asst.Prof. Dr.Pornchanit Kaew-nate, Police Major General Surawut Saengrungrueang, Ms. Piyathida Sihawattanakul, Assoc.Prof.Pacharee Suankaew, and Asst.Prof. Dr. Sukrak Saejia.
The partnership will bring academic knowledge and professional home economics skills into community-based work. It is expected to support local product creation, lifelong learning activities, and grassroots economic development.
