SDU Home Bakery Wins True5G Food Signal Award
Assoc.Prof.Dr.Chanasuek Nichanong, Vice President for Administration, Research and Innovation, joined Dr.Chanchana Siripanwattana, Manager of Suan Dusit Home Bakery, at the launch of “True5G Food Signal,” where Suan Dusit Home Bakery picked up a certified award as one of Thailand’s outstanding restaurants under the campaign, pairing great food with fast, secure 5G coverage nationwide.
The “True5G Food Signal” project runs under the concept “Great Taste, Strong Signal,” meant to push Thailand’s gastronomy tourism further into the digital age. True Corporation partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) on the initiative, folding Thai food destinations into the True5G network to give travelers new ways to search out good restaurants, share content, and stay connected online wherever they go. Organizers plan to bring 1,000 restaurants nationwide into the project by the end of 2026.
True and TAT see Thai food as one of the country’s key soft-power assets, one that can open economic doors for local restaurants, small vendors, and communities across the country, turning them into new destinations for travelers who want their whole trip — nationwide, convenient, connected — to work together.
The event ran on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Charoen Nakhon Hall, M Floor, ICONSIAM.
