SDU Lampang Builds Student Leadership and National Pride
Monday, July 6, 2026, was activity day at Suan Dusit University’s Lampang Education Center. Students spent it on something called “Instilling Pride in Nation, Religion, and Monarchy, and Building Student Leadership” — a mouthful of a title for what came down to a fairly simple idea. Give students a real feel for country, faith, and monarchy. Sharpen the ethics and social awareness they’ll need down the road. Get them thinking like leaders.
Registration filled the morning. When the opening ceremony started, the MC asked the room to pause for a moment, honoring the memory of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati. Asst.Prof.Dr.Nopporn Phaetrat, Deputy Director and Acting Director of the center, welcomed everyone afterward.
Team games broke the ice first. After that, students settled into leadership work — solving problems as a group, practicing communication, trading off who led and who followed. Everyone stayed in it.
Lampang treats this as one of its bigger events of the year. What the center is really after: graduates who know their stuff but also carry real values, feel responsible to the people around them, stay rooted in what holds the country together, and can actually lead when someone needs to.
