Hotel Business Program, School of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Elevates Students Toward Professional Hospitality Careers Through “H.O.S.T. 360°” Teamwork and Problem-Solving Activity

Bangkok, July 21, 2026 — The Hotel Business program at Suan Dusit University’s School of Tourism and Hospitality Management reaffirmed its place as a leader in shaping creative hospitality professionals, rolling out its “H.O.S.T. 360°: The Modern Hotelier Experience — Step Up to a Career in Hotel Management” initiative. The first activity under the program, “Recreation to Build Teamwork Skills and Handle Real Situations in the Hotel Business,” aims to give students a solid grounding and confidence before they step into the global hospitality labor market.

Asst.Prof. Natpreeya Phopun, Associate Dean, presided over the opening. Held at Suan Dusit University, the day split into two sessions — morning and afternoon — so every student could take part fully. The focus stayed on Active Learning, with students working through hands-on Activity Stations designed to mirror real challenges found across the hotel and service industry.

Four skills anchored the day: Teamwork, for building trust and coordinating effectively; Communication, practiced under pressure and in crisis scenarios; and Problem Solving & Decision Making, aimed at handling the unpredictable situations that come with hospitality work — all geared toward building genuine guest satisfaction.

The morning session opened at 8.30 a.m. with student registration, followed by an opening ceremony explaining the day’s goals. Students then rotated through the activity stations until 11.45 a.m., closing the morning with a Reflection session to sum up what they’d learned. The afternoon session picked up at 1.00 p.m. with more hands-on workshops, all designed to help students carry today’s lessons, knowledge, and skills directly into real-world work. Suan Dusit University continues investing in curriculum and activity development that sharpens students’ distinct strengths, preparing them to become well-rounded “Modern Hoteliers” ready to drive Thailand’s tourism and hospitality industry forward.
