Suan Dusit University Partners with OSMEP to Hold “Therapy Festival & Thai Street Gold Star Project,” Elevating Thai Street Food to World-Class Standards

Central World Plaza turned into a showcase for Thai street food and wellness tourism from July 24 to 26, 2026, as Suan Dusit University joined forces with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) for “Therapy Festival & Thai Street Gold Star Project.” Running 4 in the afternoon until 10 at night across all three days, the event set out to push vendors and wellness-tourism entrepreneurs toward genuinely world-class standards.

Opening night, Friday July 24, drew Minister Napintorn Srisunpang to preside over the ceremony in his role as Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office. He wasn’t alone — OSMEP executives stood alongside a strong contingent from Suan Dusit University, among them Assoc.Prof. Dr. Chanasuek Nichanong (Vice President for Management, Research and Innovation), Asst.Prof. Dr. Pimmada Vichasilp (Dean of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management), Dr. Suchada Apirat (Deputy Dean of the same school), and Dr. Janjana Siripanwattana, who manages Suan Dusit Home Bakery.

Three days of hands-on creative-menu workshops kept the energy going, capped by a Street Food workshop where some of Thailand’s top chefs worked directly with vendors at their own booths and stalls. For entrepreneurs who met the project’s benchmarks, that meant more than just recognition — they walked away with actual booth placements and real market exposure, the kind of hands-on experience that’s hard to come by any other way in wellness-focused tourism.
