School of Tourism and Hospitality Holds “The Cool Factor” Project to Build Personality and Leadership Skills for International-Level Professionals
The School of Tourism and Hospitality ran the second activity of its “The Cool Factor THM: Future Ready for Hospitality & Tourism” workshop on August 4, 2026 — this round focused on “Future Skills for Hospitality & Tourism.” The whole point is building leaders with presence: sharper personalities, better communication, and the kind of future-ready skills the industry actually wants. Assistant Professor Dr. Pimmada Wichasilp, the school’s dean, opened things up, and Dr. Suchada Apirat, deputy dean, welcomed everyone in.
Two topics anchored the day — Leadership & Communication, and Thai-ness & International Manner — taught by three well-known experts in their fields. Ms. Piyaporn Saenkosik covered leadership and communication, pushing a growth-mindset approach for the next generation of leaders, practical communication techniques, and how to build a professional identity, plus small-group workshops touching on language skills, digital tools, AI, and working together as a team. Mr. Patrick and Ms. Saffron then took over for manners and personal presentation — how to walk, stand, and perform a proper Thai wai, alongside the kind of etiquette expected internationally in service roles.
It’s one more piece of what Suan Dusit is trying to build in its hospitality and tourism graduates: not just book knowledge, but the personality and polish to work confidently anywhere in the world. The session was held at Raktakanit Hall, 2nd floor.
