Suan Dusit University Lampang Center Holds “OWL Lampang Learning Space: Talk of the Town”, Opening an Out-of-Classroom Learning Space at Ban Phraya Suren, Lampang

Suan Dusit University Lampang Education Center held the “OWL Lampang Learning Space: Talk of the Town” activity under the One World Library (OWL) concept, to promote out-of-classroom learning and give students the opportunity to learn from real community learning resources, exchanging knowledge on the history, way of life, and local identity of Lampang Province at Ban Phraya Suren, a historically valuable learning site in Lampang.

The activity was held on Thursday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with Mr. Nattapong Dittapong, Manager of Ban Phraya Suren by Madame Museu, serving as guest speaker, sharing knowledge on the history, way of life, architecture, and cultural value of Ban Phraya Suren, as well as the development of Lampang city from a local expert’s perspective.

During the activity, students took part in a knowledge exchange in the Human Library format and studied the actual site, connecting knowledge of history and local identity with higher education learning, promoting analytical thinking, learning from direct experience, and inspiring students to apply this knowledge to both their studies and future careers.

This event is another important activity of the OWL Lampang Learning Space, aimed at promoting the concept of lifelong learning by building a network of cooperation between the university and community learning resources, while instilling in students a sense of pride in local history and identity, as well as an awareness of the value of cultural heritage that can be further developed for self and social improvement.
