School of Tourism and Hospitality Holds “THM Learning Festival” Under the Theme “Learn, Create, Experience”
Learn, create, experience — that was the whole idea behind the School of Tourism and Hospitality’s “THM Learning Festival” on August 14, 2026, an attempt to close the gap between what gets taught in class and what the tourism and hospitality industry actually wants.
Things kicked off on the Inspiration Stage with a panel called “Surviving & Thriving in the New Hospitality Era.” Five professionals — from airlines, hotels, design, HR, and healthcare — talked candidly about what it takes to stay relevant as AI and new technology reshape the field.
Fifteen student-run businesses got their own pop-up marketplace for the day, the Student Startup Showcase, where classroom theory turned into actual practice: product development, talking to customers, running the books.
An Experiential and Aesthetic Zone put academic research and student creative work on display — Thai boxing camp management, cultural tourism development, health tourism, sustainable hospitality design, even community-sourced souvenirs.
Then there was the Skill Lab, five hands-on workshop tracks covering hotel service, airline operations, sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship, and event management, plus a session from the university’s own camping club focused on practical outdoor skills.
The day wrapped with award announcements from the “THM Creative Challenge @ Phra Nakhon” project, which had tasked students with solving real problems for communities in Bangkok’s historic Phra Nakhon district.
