Suan Dusit University Welcomes MHESI Minister and Higher Education Leaders as Host of CUA and ASAIHL General Assemblies

Assistant Professor Dr. Pitauk Chanchareon, President of Suan Dusit University (SDU), together with executives, faculty, staff, and students, warmly welcomed the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and higher education leaders on the occasion of SDU being honored as the host of the 4th/2025 Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) General Assembly, the Association of CUPT General Assembly, and the 2nd/2025 Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL Thailand) General Assembly, held on August 17, 2025, at Raktakanit Auditorium, Suan Dusit University.

The event was graced by Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of MHESI, who delivered policies and directions for advancing higher education, science, research, and innovation, outlining goals and expectations for universities nationwide. She also encouraged open discussion among participating higher education leaders to align efforts in driving MHESI’s national strategies.

The general assemblies were chaired by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, with participation from executives representing universities across the country.

Following the assemblies, a press conference was held on the Central University Admission System 2026 (TCAS69: Opportunities for ALL), presented by  Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat CUPT President; Assistant Professor Dr. Pomthong Malakul na Ayudhaya, CUPT Secretary-General; Associate Professor Dr. Chalee Charoenlapnopparat, TCAS69 System Manager; and Assistant Professor Dr. Pariya Nakhon, TCAS Examination Manager.

In addition, SDU showcased a series of exhibitions under the theme “The Power of SDU: Move Forward with Wisdom & Collaboration”, featuring:

  • Health food innovations and community development projects based on SDU expertise.
  • Academic enterprise products, including Suan Dusit Home Bakery and the Processed Food Operations Project.
  • International university management research and survey findings by Suan Dusit Poll in collaboration with the Sirote Pholpuntin Institute.

The event concluded with the exchange of souvenirs and group photographs to commemorate this prestigious occasion.
