Executives from Southwest University, Chongqing, Visit Suan Dusit University to Discuss Strategic Academic Collaboration
On Friday, December 26, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchanit Kaew-nate, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs, appointed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuttapong Leelakitpaisarn, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, to preside over an official welcoming ceremony and bilateral meeting with the executive delegation from Southwest University (SWU), Chongqing, China. The meeting was held at the Lampong 3 Meeting Room, Suan Dusit University.
The SDU delegation, which included Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarit Sriyothin and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chayapon Chomchaiya (Associate Deans), alongside Lecturer Nopparat Khanobthammakul (Program Chair) and faculty members of the Chinese for Service Industry program, extended a warm welcome to the SWU representatives. The Southwest University delegation was led by:
- Mr. Zhang Yuansong, Party Secretary of the International College
- Ms. Wang Xinyang, Senior Organizational Officer of the International College
- Ms. Liu Huan, Admissions Officer of the International College
The discussion focused on several key strategic areas to enhance the existing partnership, including:
- Student Feedback: A review of insights and suggestions from the first cohort of SDU students currently studying at Southwest University.
- Future Enrollment: Finalizing the number of students for the second cohort scheduled to depart for China next year.
- Program Development: In-depth deliberation on the “2+2 Joint Degree Program” and the exploration of future academic and cultural collaborations.
Following the productive session, the delegation toured the Suan Dusit University campus, further strengthening the ties between the two institutions. This meeting marked a significant step forward in fostering international educational exchange and long-term academic synergy.
