Suphan Buri Campus

Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Suphan Buri Campus locates on a 187 rai plot of land at 57 Moo 2, Khok Kho Thao Sub-district, Muang District, Suphan Buri Province. The plot of land was given by Suphan Buri Province in response to the University’s need to find a location for new faculties, the Faculty of Design and the Faculty of Food Science. With an aim to develop Suphan Buri Center into a new campus, the center has been continuously developed for 13 years, starting from the construction of facilities and infrastructures, office buildings, and other buildings, with the budget from the University’s income. In 2000, three dormitory buildings construction started using a budget from Thai Military Bank’s loan project. Educational activities started in 2002 after the three-story multi-purposes building was opened. In 2004, the workshop building for foundation art was opened and the three dormitory buildings reached the final stage of construction. These buildings were opened in semester 2 of 2004. The first group of students were the 57 students of the Communication Arts Design Program.

Upon upgraded of Suan Dusit Rajabhat Institute into a university status according to the Suan Dusit Rajabhat University Act B.E. 2547 (2004), the Suphan Buri Center received increased budget for development into a perfect educational center. It was also chosen by Guangxi University, People’s Republic of China as a location for the “Confucius Institute, Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Suphan Buri Campus”. The Institute is aimed to disseminate arts, culture, and language.
