Mission

Trang Center is an academic institution that offers higher vocational education with the objectives to educate and produce graduates as well as conduct researches and provide academic services to locality and society. In addition, the center initiates, improves, develops and passes on knowledge in its areas of expertise to students and others while upholding arts and culture.

Strategic Intent

Trang Center expects its graduate students and personnel to have moral values along with knowledge, as well as intelligence and ethical standards. They are to be knowledge seekers with critical thinking and a sacrificed mind, while possessing great personality with a sense of social responsibility.

Background

Formerly a campus of Suan Dusit Rajabhat Institute, Trang Center was established according to the institute’s policy on expanding education to communities in all regions. The center is regarded as the institute’s first campus that provides teaching and learning in the southern region in response to the increasing demand for higher education of local people.

Great emphasis has been placed on the development of the body of knowledge that caters to the local needs while providing academic services to communities within the region. First opened on 10 June 2002, Trang Center was situated on the premises of the Huai Yot Vocational College, Huai Yot Districtin Trang Province before moving to the location on Wisetkun Road, Thap Thiang Sub-district, Mueang Trang District, Trang, in 2005.

Trang Center was established in accordance with the Announcement of the Ministry of Education regarding off-campus educational management B.E.2552 (2009) in compliance with Higher Education Standards B.E.2548 (2005). The center currently conducts teaching and learning at two locations: Thap Thiang Sub-district, Mueang Trang District and Huai Yot Sub-district, Huai Yot District.
