Opening Ceremony Held for the Home Economics Learning Innovation Center for Community Products and Grassroots Economic Development

Suphanburi Campus just opened something new — a Home Economics Learning Innovation Center, built around community products and grassroots economic development. The School of Culinary Arts is behind it, and the goal is pretty straightforward: give people a place to keep learning home economics skills for life, tied directly to local products and neighborhood income.

Dr. Waranee Vessoontorntep, Vice President for the Suphanburi Campus, presided over the opening. Standing beside her, Assistant Professor Acting Sub Lieutenant Dr. Thanaphat Sangrungrueang — dean of the School of Culinary Arts — welcomed the crowd and walked through why the center exists.

A few things got wrapped into one event. New students got a welcome. The team that competed and won at the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge 2026 got applause. And the newest graduates of the Professional Thai Chef course finally got their moment. All of it happened Monday, August 3, 2026, from 11 in the morning until 1 p.m., over at the Suphanburi Campus auditorium.
