School of Culinary Arts Shares Local Rice-Seed Souvenir Activity in Suphan Buri

On June 29, 2026, lecturers and students from the School of Culinary Arts, Suan Dusit University, went to Sam Chuk Rattanaphokaram School in Suphan Buri Province for a knowledge-sharing activity on souvenir products made from Suphan Buri fragrant rice seeds.

The activity was under Suan Dusit University’s Plant Genetic Conservation Project following the Royal Initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for fiscal year 2026.

The session looked at how local rice seeds could be turned into small souvenir items for tourists. It also linked local agricultural resources with community income and the identity of Suphan Buri.

Students in the Home Economics group at Suphan Buri Campus worked alongside him and demonstrated each step for the participants.

For the students, the session was a chance to use what they had learned in a real community setting. For the school community, it offered another idea for turning local materials into useful products.
