SDU and TDGA-DGA Run ITSM Training Round 2
Suan Dusit University sits inside the network working to build digital skills for civil servants and government staff. This time it partnered with the Thailand Digital Government Academy (TDGA), under the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA), for the DGA307 workshop: “IT Service Management (ITSM), Round 2.” The training ran four days, July 13–16, 2026, at Crystal Room 3-4, 3rd Floor, Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, with one goal in mind — get government staff comfortable enough with digital tools to actually use them on the job.
Dr.Sawong Boonpluk, Vice President for Information Technology, chaired the opening and welcomed participants. Asst.Prof.Thipsuda Kidlerd, Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, gave a special talk on “Digital Technology Service Management” that ran across all four days, joined by a lineup of specialists and qualified faculty who traded insights and practical advice throughout.
Asst.Prof.Dr.Auaaree Chan, Assistant Director of the Office of Academic Resources, together with instructor from the Faculty of Education, and Asst.Prof.Dr.Chanin Thitipetch-kul, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, Faculty of Nursing, covered digital-service standards and practices, AI in IT Service Management, and how to design service processes that blend AI with digital strategy and service-level planning.
Instructor Thampon Fapinyo, a director at PowerBitZ, spoke on incident management, digital standards control, and Service-Level Agreements between departments. Acting Sub Lt.Dr.Sarit Thankitjanukij, a qualified committee member of the Institute of Public Administration (Term 2, 2026–2028), closed out the program with a session on digital governance law, policy, and standards.
Organizers see the training as a key step in getting government staff ready for fast-moving tech change, especially around ITSM systems and AI innovation, as agencies work toward more efficient, service-oriented digital government.
