SDU Pre-Degree Program Continues Semester 1 Classes, 2026 Academic Year, Building Culinary Skills for High School Students
Thursday, July 9, 2026, marked another class day for Suan Dusit University’s Lampang Education Center under the SDU Pre-degree project — a program letting high school students earn university-level coursework ahead of graduation. Ten 4th-year students from the Food Entrepreneurship track at Debsirin Uttaradit School joined the session for Semester 1 of the 2026 academic year.
This round focused on meat-based ingredients: land animals, seafood, and processed meat products. Asst.Prof. Dr. Janya Konaibutr led the lecture, walking students through how to distinguish between ingredient types and choose the right cuts for different dishes, before wrapping up with a quiz to check what students had picked up along the way.
The SDU Pre-degree project gives high school students early access to university-level coursework, building career-relevant skills and hands-on experience before they even step onto a college campus — part of the university’s broader push to develop students’ potential and support lifelong learning in line with Suan Dusit’s educational philosophy.
