Suan Dusit Partners with Underwater Hockey Association to Launch ‘1st Thailand Underwater Hockey Mini Tournament 2025,’ Elevating Aquatic Sports to Global Standards

Suan Dusit University, in collaboration with the Thailand Underwater Sports Association (TUSA) under the Sports Authority of Thailand, co-hosted the “1st Thailand Underwater Hockey Mini Tournament 2025.” This initiative aimed to promote and elevate the standards of aquatic sports knowledge within the country.

TUSA and Suan Dusit University previously entered into a formal academic partnership (MOU) to exchange expertise and professional personnel. This collaboration was designed to empower students and university staff to enhance their skills and understanding of aquatic sports, paving the way for future opportunities in sports business, entertainment, recreation, and professional tournament management.

The tournament was officially inaugurated by Dr. Sutan Mumdaeng, Director of the Special Affairs Division. Held from December 27–28, 2025, at the Thammasat University Swimming Pool (Rangsit Center), the event welcomed 172 athletes from 16 countries. The competition delivered multifaceted benefits, including human resource development, student skill enhancement, and the elevation of Thai youth toward international excellence.
