Suan Dusit University and Dongduk Women’s University Forge Global Strategic Partnership for Academic and Research Excellence

BANGKOK—On January 28, 2026, Suan Dusit University (SDU) hosted an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Dongduk Women’s University from the Republic of Korea. The partnership aimed to elevate academic collaboration, research initiatives, and personnel exchange programs between the two institutions.

The ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchanit Kaew-nate, Vice President for Academic and International Affairs of Suan Dusit University, who delivered the welcome remarks to the South Korean delegation. She formally signed the agreement alongside Dr. Shin Ha-gyun, Director of the International Affairs Division, who represented the President of Dongduk Women’s University.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yutthapong Leelakitpaisarn, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at SDU, reported on the objectives of the collaboration. He stated that the partnership focused on building a robust academic network, specifically supporting the exchange of students and staff—both academic and administrative. Furthermore, the agreement encompassed joint research projects and the sharing of educational resources to create “borderless opportunities” for the younger generation.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchanit Kaew-nate further revealed, “This signing marked a significant milestone reflecting the shared commitment of both universities to strengthen international cooperation based on equality and reciprocity. This initiative was expected to foster profound understanding and sustainable friendship between Thailand and the Republic of Korea, with the ultimate goal of enhancing educational quality to meet global demands.”
