Suan Dusit University Continues Pushing Youth Potential, Holds the “5th Suan Dusit Taekwondo Championship 2026”

Suan Dusit University, through its Office of Special Affairs, reaffirmed its mission of promoting wellness and building sports potential among Thai youth by holding a major national taekwondo tournament, the “5th Suan Dusit Taekwondo Championship 2026,” on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Thanya Park Srinakarin Shopping Center, Bangkok — giving children and youth from across the country a chance to show off their skills, put their training to the test, and build discipline, sportsmanship, and self-control through competition.

Associate Professor Dr. Suchatvee Suwansawat presided over the opening ceremony, presenting trophies and training equipment to clubs and athletes, while Dr. Suthan Mumdaeng, Director of the Office of Special Affairs, gave the welcome remarks explaining the event’s objectives.

The competition ran across several categories covering every skill level, on three standard competition mats:

– Mat A: Sparring matches, using both internationally standard electronic body protectors and conventional protective gear
– Mat B: Poomsae (forms) competition, divided by belt level — white, yellow, green, and blue belts
– Mat C: Speed Kick and Kyokpa (breaking) events

The event also included a special awards ceremony to support sports clubs, with trophies for the first five teams to register, training equipment given to every participating team, and more than 15 additional special prizes.
