Suan Dusit University participates in the “Charleston Conference Asia” international symposium
Suan Dusit University participated in the prestigious international academic symposium, “Charleston Conference Asia,” held from January 26 to 28, 2026. The university’s delegation was spearheaded by Dr. Anucha Khaengkhan, Assistant President for Organizational Development and Mission Engagement. He was joined by Asst. Prof. Thipsuda Kitloed, Director of the Academic Resource and Information Technology Center (ARIT), along with Lecturer Picha Baipho from the Faculty of Education, and a team of executives and staff from ARIT.
The “Charleston Conference Asia” marked a significant milestone as it expanded its renowned U.S.-based academic network to Asia for the first time. The event served as a global platform for librarians, publishers, and database providers to exchange insights, with a core mission to enhance academic data management and scholarly communication on a sustainable international scale.
During the conference, the Suan Dusit team engaged in high-level knowledge exchanges regarding recent innovations. A highlight of their visit was the Smart Assistant Librarian System exhibition—an intelligent support framework designed for library personnel. The team focused on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern data management systems to maximize efficiency and meet the evolving demands of users in the digital era. The symposium took place at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok.
