Suan Dusit University Signs MOU to Co-Host PACCON 2027 International Conference
Suan Dusit University has officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to co-host the Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference (PACCON 2027), a global academic conference aimed at advancing Thailand’s chemical sciences and innovation.
The conference is organized under the Chemical Society of Thailand, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, with Department of Science Service and Suan Dusit University serving as co-hosts. The event is scheduled to take place from February 11–13, 2027, in Bangkok, providing an international platform for research dissemination and technology transfer in chemistry.
The MOU signing ceremony brought together key representatives, including Prof. Dr. Vudhichai Parasuk, President of the Chemical Society of Thailand; Prof. Dr. Supa Hannongbua Supa Hannongbua, Advisor for PACCON 2027; Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchanit Kaew-Nate, Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Relations at Suan Dusit University (Chair of the organizing committee on behalf of the university); and Dr. Pochaman Tagheen, Deputy Director-General and Acting Director-General of the Department of Science Service (Chair on behalf of the department).
Witnesses to the signing included Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinat Sukonket, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Dusit University; Assoc. Prof. Narumon Kruaongartnukul, Vice President of the Chemical Society of Thailand; Dr. Kanit Tapasa, Director of the National Reference Laboratory, Department of Science Service; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Boonyuen, Vice President of the Chemical Society of Thailand.
The ceremony was held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at King Naresuan the Great International Convention and Exhibition Center (KNECC), Naresuan University, Phitsanulok.
This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening Thailand’s role in the global scientific community and promoting international cooperation in chemical research.
