Suan Dusit University strengthens student mental health support and builds higher education networks in Bangkok.
Suan Dusit University, represented by the Student Development Division and the Educational Guidance and Career Information Center, participated in the project titled “Capacity Building and Knowledge Exchange on Student Care among Universities in Bangkok, Fiscal Year 2026.” The program was organized by the Mental Health Center 13 under the Department of Mental Health, Ministry of Public Health, and took place from February 24–25, 2026, at Riverside Hotel, Bangkok.
The initiative aimed to enhance knowledge, skills, and support systems for student care across higher education institutions, while also fostering a collaborative network on mental health among universities in Bangkok. The goal is to develop systematic and sustainable mechanisms for student support.
On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Passarin Korlerdvorapong from Suan Dusit University was invited as a speaker in a panel discussion, sharing experiences and presenting the university’s best practices in student support systems. These included mental health services, counseling, and integrated collaboration among internal departments.
The program featured a series of intensive lectures and workshops, covering topics such as:
- Approaches to student care at the university level
- Preparation for counseling center standards
- Development of active listening skills
- Understanding the differences between empathy and sympathy
- Strategies for promoting mental health among students in the digital age
Participation in this project reflects Suan Dusit University’s strong commitment to promoting students’ holistic well-being—physically, mentally, and socially—alongside sustainable educational development.
