Suan Dusit University’s Nakhon Nayok Education Center Holds Wai Khru Ceremony and Blessing Thread Ritual for Academic Year 2026

Suan Dusit University’s Nakhon Nayok Education Center marked the academic year with its Wai Khru ceremony and blessing thread ritual, bringing together a full slate of traditions: the Wai Khru rite itself, an honors presentation for students, and a session where alumni shared stories from their own student days. Local Thai Phuan villagers tied blessing threads around participants’ wrists as part of the ceremony.

Asst.Prof. Acting Sub Lt. Dr.Mongkolchai Boonkaew, Director of the Nakhon Nayok Education Center, joined faculty, staff, and students from every grade level in the Bachelor of Education programs — Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education alike — to take part.

The ceremony ran from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. on July 23, 2026, in the Pheung Fah Meeting Room, Suan Dusit University Nakhon Nayok Education Center.
